Hey y’all, I’m Andrea—the hands and heart behind The Wyrd Potter. My journey with clay began as a way to ground myself in the elements while expressing my deep connection to New Orleans and all the beauty the Deep South has shown me.
I believe pottery should be as diverse and vibrant as our own personal life experiences. That’s why you’ll find everything from practical kitchen pieces to spiritual objects like finger labyrinths and holding crosses—all created with the same care and attention to detail.
When I’m not up to my elbows in clay, you might find me wandering the city for inspiration, exploring our many museums, or sharing stories with fellow artists over coffee at my favorite local spot.
My Passion
I want my pottery to be accessible to everyone. I try to maintain a broad range of pricing online, in markets and store offerings. I greatly enjoy collaborating with other artists of different mediums to try and see how both our vision and materials can come together.
Commission work is another place where I find peace and inspiration. It is a collaboration between myself and the customer, using my creative voice to form their vision into being.
